Alright– so pink hair is all the rage so I did the deed, I colored my hair pink…but was it worth it? ummmm ABSOLUTELY. Would I do it again?? Uh, ya TOMORROW.
Quarantine 2020 was becoming a bit of a #snooze…so what better way to spice it up than by {temporarily} coloring your hair pink??? Key word: temporarily.
I am naturally pretty light, but haven’t had my hair highlighted in about 8 months (hi, this is a judge-free zone) so currently I have a lot of natural grow out- this tint only takes to colored BLONDE hair. I am not the kind of person who goes out on a whim at any given opportunity and is like HeYyY I’m GoNnA DiE mY hAiR tHe CoLoR oF tHe RaInBoW but I couldn’t resist this beautiful dusty rose Kristin Ess Temporary Rose Gold Hair Tint.
The Process:
- Get in the shower.
- Shampoo your hair and rinse. I use TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Volume Shampoo.
- If your hair is fine and tangled like mine, brush it out so it’s tangle-free for a more even application then re-wet with shower head. The wetter the hair, the less permanent and bright the color is.
- Spray Kristin Ess Rose Gold Temporary Tint Spray on your sopping wet hair or have your partner/husband do it for a more thorough application like I did {Thxx Ty ;)}.
- Let it sit for 2-3 minutes. This depends on how pink you want it- I wanted more of a subtle dusty pink so I applied, then let it set for about 2/2:30.
- Rinse out the pink, condition, dry off and blow dry your hair.
- NOTE: don’t be paranoid that it would be too bright/permanent like I was. This color washes out at about 3 washes max, so don’t be afraid to let it sit on your hair and play with the brightness.
- ANOTHER NOTE: yes, the pink overspray does wash off of marble countertops, white fluffy rugs and white tank tops- been there, done that. Gotchu girl 😉
The Post-Pink Process:
1st wash wet- still pink-ish 2nd wash- slight pink tint 3rd wash- pink completely gone
I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

All in all, let your hair down {literally} and do the damn thing. Pink hair is fun and it’s temporary. brb hoarding cans of Kristin Ess Tint- can’t WAIT to do it again.
